Introduction
Drama is closely linked with the teaching of English at Bacton. All pupils will be taught Drama, through which we believe they can explore a rich variety of situations in meaningful ways. Pupils are taught many techniques including role-play, improvisation, and performance. In Drama they are faced with choices, conflicts, decision making and the consequences of their actions in the safety of role-play. Pupils can take part in performances for real audiences, assemblies, open evenings, during activities week and once a year they will have the opportunity to audition to enable them to put what they have learnt into practice in a whole school production, working co-operatively with other Departments.
